As we're sure most of you know, the governor of North Carolina recently signed the most restrictive anti-LGBT discrimination laws in the country. We've been torn up about it since. We just don't understand how these things can happen...but the truth is they can and they do and that breaks our hearts. It makes us want to fight and show our support in any way we can. Even if it's a small way, ya know?
And we also want to spread some happiness. We can all use a little of that, right?
So what we're going to do is have a giveaway some books! Up for grabs are signed paperbacks and audio books from Riley Hart, Christina Lee, Ella Frank, Cardeno C, NR Walker, Felice Stevens and Lane Hayes (all are listed in the rafflecopter)! This is our way of trying to spread love and some happiness. To enter all you have to do is share some kind of article on social media about this law...something to inform people what’s going on, to offer support to people who live in North Carolina.
Knowledge is power and making more people aware will hopefully make more people fight. Here are a few to choose from, or you can pick any of your own.

That brings us back to that bill in North Carolina. That's what prompted this--the discrimination of he LGBTQ+ community who reside in the state. How can we do my small part to support them?
We did some research online and found a few LGBTQ centers in North Carolina. As of now, we've only been in contact with the LGBT Center of Raleigh (name clickable). We discussed some of their needs for their library. Their Amazon wish list (wish list clickable) is very diverse. They have included several transgender and LGBTQ diverse titles that their community needs access to. They're non-profit and have limited funds so they often don't have the money to buy new books or movies that can at least provide some entertainment, but also can sometimes help people to feel a little less alone.
We’d like to encourage you to take a look at their wish list (wish list clickable). If you’re able, please consider donating an item to them (it’s so easy and Amazon ships directly to them!). They were so thrilled, honored and appreciative when we spoke to them. Getting books to them is the goal here. We’d love to fill their library with books and movies as a small way of letting them know people are thinking about them, and that we support them.
It's not much. It's not changing laws, but hopefully this will help support people in the LGBTQ+ community in North Carolina.
